Charles Darwin Research Station, Santa Cruz, Galapagos

We have been a week in the Galapagos and only saw a few tortoises in the wild. The Charles Darwin Research Station has been founded to restore the tortoise population on the Galapagos Islands. In this breeding program, naturalist try to get a better insight in the life of tortoises and their age. The goal is to bring as many tortoises back into the wild again.
